Indonesian Conservation, together with the Faculty of Earth Sciences and Technology, Bandung Institute of Technology (FITB ITB), held a workshop titled “Progress, Update, and Sharing Session Indonesia 2024 OceanX Joint Expedition” in Hall A of CRCS ITB. This event served as a scientific forum to present the preliminary analysis results of the OceanX joint marine expedition to be conducted in 2024 in Indonesian waters, specifically in Fisheries Management Area (WPP) 572.

The workshop featured a panel discussion by cross-institutional researchers from BRIN, Unpad, IPB, REKAM Nusantara, and Georgetown University, highlighting issues ranging from marine biodiversity, oceanographic dynamics, and fisheries management. Through collaboration with FITB ITB, this forum is expected to strengthen national research collaboration and generate scientific publication strategies that can support marine conservation policies and sustainable fisheries development in Indonesia.
